Barnes Legacy: New Name and Website for this blog

In honor of my mother, Burnelle 'Nelle' Allen Barnes Baize, we decided to use the name "Barnes Legacy" for this blog, instead of "Copycat Barnes." So, please check out that link and follow us!

My mother always desired for her family to get together on holidays and keep in touch throughout the years. Since most of us live miles from each other now, we rarely get together--except maybe for weddings and funerals. Now, with the internet, we can stay connected 24/7.

Instead of sharing our recipes over the backyard fence, we share them over the net, across the miles.

My mother loved e-mail, and she would have been one of the first to sign up for Facebook and Twitter. She would have also loved our new blog!

I hope you will follow us on the Barnes Legacy blog. We will be sharing our ideas about crafts, traditions, recipes, parenting, organization, scrapbooking, and more. And please send your ideas to us, too. We'd love to hear from you. Email me (Karen) at kj@karenjordan.net.

See you on the Barnes Legacy blog!

Blessings,

Karen

Contest: Need help choosing new blog name!

Dear Bloggers,

After I set up this new blog, I realized that I "oughta" change the name after some "constructive" feedback. So, I've decided to have a contest.

Send your suggestions to me as soon as possible. I'll make a decision within the next week. I need...

1) Name suggestions.
2) Prize suggestions--remember, I'm a "freelance" writer (i.e. I work mostly for free!)

Post your suggestions as a comment to this blog.

I'll choose the winners! [I get to do that, since it's MY blog!]

Thanks for your help!
